The instructions in this FAQ use yoursite.com in examples. Replace yoursite.com with your domain name. Non-profits that don't have their own domain name, however, will use youraccount.kics.bc.ca. In this case, replace youraccount with your KICS Account name. Please review these pages carefully. If you still can't find the information you need, request assistance by submitting a Support Ticket.

When you sign up for web hosting with KICS, you receive an email with your new account information. You should print out this message and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

Your KICS Account information includes the following details:

• Your website address
eg. www.yoursite.com  OR  www.youraccount.kics.bc.ca


• Your KICS Account/ FTP login
eg. login: youraccount
password: mjkw3d


• We also set up your first email address and password for you
eg. webmaster@youraccount.kics.bc.ca
password: y2vdu4

You must renew your account each year. If you have a free account for a non-profit member organizations, you may choose a suitable membership amount each year according to your budget. Even if you choose a membership amount of $0, you still need to renew your account and keep your organization's contact information up to date.


You can log into your KICS Account at any time by visiting KICS Account Administration.

Please make sure that your account is up to date! This includes:

• Account owner’s email address


• Account owner’s phone number

• Check the duration of your Membership status


• View the domain name(s) you have hosted with KICS
